It is really breath-taking realizing how much time we had left together. 4 years ago, we started on this journey together and now, we are reaching the junction, our destination. The junction that branched out into many different little paths, each with its own stories waiting to unfold, sceneries waiting to be explored.

Some are certain of the path they are going to take, but some, like me, are filled with fear, in a dilemma of where to go, having doubts about the future. Some will be traveling on a route lined with roses, some will be struggling with each walking step. Some will trip over rocks or hidden obstacles along the way, some will walk right into them and destroy them. Some will break into tears and immerse themselves in despair after they fall, some will jump back like a never-fall doll, smile and say “I’ll never give up.”. Some…..

Different people, different reactions to the same situation - that’s what makes us all unique, that’s what defines each and everyone of us. No two individuals are the same. We are different; that’s why we are all on different paths with different aims and goals in our lives.

The point of my rambling today is no matter how DIFFERENT the paths we are taking might be, if you ever feel tired or feel like giving up, look back. Take a minute, look back to the past, to the route where we all had once travelled together, where we all had once cried and laughed together. Look back. Feel the innocence, see the smiles, indulge in the oh-it-seems-so-far enthusiasm that we all used to possess. Look back. Remind yourself of why you are there, at that point that you are standing, at that point that you feel like giving up. And trust me, you will be feeling energetic and full of hope once again. It’s a little trick I used when I am weary and down.

Look forward. Look forward after you have looked back. Look forward to a brighter day tomorrow. Look forward to the reunion that we will be having annually. Look forward to our friends’ wedding dinner. Look forward to a new day at work. Look forward to meeting new friends. Look forward to anything. Look forward to everything. Look forward. That’s the only reason why we can keep on moving. Look forward but don’t forget to look back when you are lost.

Yes, AHSABI, I am always thinking of our old days in CSS when I am really feel like breaking away from all the stuff here. But luckily, I have a lot of nice and encouraging friends beside me too!
